SELOUS GAME RESERVE


Selous Game Reserve (By road)

The Reserve boasts one of the world's largest elephant populations and some of the last remaining Black Rhinos. Accommodation is available at the Rufiji River Camp where boat trips and sport fishing facilities are available.

Day 1: After breakfast transfer to Selous Game Reserve from Dar es Salaam (8 hours drive). Picnic lunch enroute.
Dinner and overnight at Rufiji River camp.

Day 2: Full day game drive with picnic lunch, return to Rufiji River Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Early morning pre-breakfast walking safari, returning to the camp for late breakfast. Leisure for the rest of the morning time before lunch, afternoon boat safari on the mighty Rufiji river. Dinner and overnight at Rufiji River camp.

Days 4: After breakfast drive back to Dar es Salaam.


Selous Game Reserve (By air)

Selous Game Reserve is the largest game reserve in Africa, being approximately 4 times the size of the Serengeti.

2 Days / 1 Night

Day 1: Transfer to Dar es Salaam Airport for afternoon schedule flight to the Selous. Evening game drive in the Selous. Dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Camp.

Day 2: Early morning walking safari in the reserve. Lunch at the camp then afternoon schedule flight back to Dar es Salaam Airport and then transfer to your hotel in the city center. End of our service / tour.

3 Days / 2 Night

Day 1: Late afternoon flight to Selous Game Reserve from Dar es Salaam International Airport. Dinner and overnight at a hotel / tented camp.

Day 2: Morning game drive in the reserve lunch at hotel / tented camp. Afternoon boat safari in the Rufiji river. Dinner and overnight at hotel / tented camp.
Day 3: Morning walking safari in the reserve. Lunch at a hotel / tented camp. Late afternoon – flight back to Dar-es Salaam.

Mikumi - Udzungwa and Ruaha National Parks

7 Days / 6 Nights

Day 1: After breakfast transfer from Dar Es Salaam to Mikumi National Park.

Mikumi National Park boasts of having more than 300 species of birds, particularly after the rainy season has started. Some of these bird species are European migrants, which seek refuge in the park. The park is also famous for its elephants, which are smaller in size than in other parks in Tanzania. Lunch at the lodge/tented camp/campsite. Afternoon/evening game drive in the park. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge/tented camp/campsite.

Day 2: Morning game drive in the park. Lunch at the lodge/tented camp/campsite. Afternoon departure for Udzungwa National Park. Udzungwa National Park is famous for its endemic species of primates i.e the Iringa Colobus Monkey and the Sanje Crested Mangabey. Udzungwa Mountains also qualify to be the richest forest bird habitat in Tanzania and one of the top three most important zones for bird conservation in Africa. Dinner and overnight at the lodge/campsite.

Day 3: After breakfast morning walking safari in the park. Lunch at the lodge/campsite afternoon sight seeing and game drive in the park. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge/campsite.

Day 4: After breakfast transfer to Ruaha National Park. Lunch in Iringa town. After lunch proceed to Ruaha National Park. Dinner and overnight at Mwagusi Safari camp/campsite. The park derives its name from the Ruaha River and is part of a much larger ecosystem which includes two other protected areas, the Rungwa and Kizigo Game Reserves. In addition to the teeming wildlife populations which include roan and sable antelopes, greater and lesser kudu, the great Ruaha River features large numbers of hippos and crocodiles. Over 465 birds species have been sighted within the park.

Day 5: After breakfast full day game drive with picnic lunch (with a possibility of visiting Kisima cha Mkwawa – Mkwawa's well). Dinner and overnight at Mwagusi safari camp/campsite.

Day 6: After breakfast full day game drive towards Lunda/Ikuka – Mpululu. Picnic lunch in the park. Dinner and overnight at Mwagusi Safari camp /campsite.

Day 7: After breakfast drive back to Dar es Salaam.
