MESSAGE FROM THE MANAGING DIRECTOR

Jambo! (Means Hi!)

I'm glad to write this special message.

I real appreciate that Jehovah, The Only True God, created this fantastic world. Our country, Tanzania, is among the best and rich places in the world.

Tourism Industry, is one of the areas which I am proud of. I trust same applies to you. Lets conserve our environment, in order to increase its value, and make our lives better.

I also urge everyone who reads my message, to build some habit of transplanting the feeling in our children’s hearts.
* They should love their country/s and all people in general, thus its environment.
* They should know from deep of their hearts that God loves us, and He has given us this     world, of course with a purpose.
We need to know the purpose and keep it. He wanted us to enjoy life, at same time rule   animals and all creatures,  and keep the gardens to keep our world beautiful. Adam lost the Paradise, but still we can do something in this system of the World, while we await for the New system of God (Jehovah)to rule. Maintain PEACE and LOVE.

Kilimanjaro-Serengeti Tours & Travels (KSTT), is dedicated to work hard in order to meet the goal. Being a Managing Director, means a lot more than just organizing tours, and other managerial acts. I aim to mobilize people, both local and international, to go for CULTURAL TOURISM in addition to the normal photographic wildlife safaris.

WHAT IS CULTURAL TOURISM?
Cultural tourism (or eco-culture tourism) is the subset of tourism concerned with a country or region's culture, specifically the lifestyle of the people in those geographical areas, the history of those peoples, their art, architecture, religion(s), and other elements that helped shape their way of life. Cultural tourism includes tourism in urban areas, particularly historic or large cities and their cultural facilities such as museums and theaters. It can also include tourism in rural areas showcasing the traditions of indigenous cultural communities (i.e. festivals, rituals), and their values and lifestyle. It is generally agreed that cultural tourists spend substantially more than standard tourists do. This form of tourism is also becoming generally more popular throughout the world, and a recent report has highlighted the role that cultural tourism can play in regional development in different world regions.
Cultural tourism has been defined as 'the movement of persons to cultural attractions away from their normal place of residence, with the intention to gather new information and experiences to satisfy their cultural needs'.

Local community, tourists, the destination and sustainable tourism
While satisfying tourists' interests and demands may be a top priority, it is also imperative to ruminate the subsystems of the destination's (residents). Development pressures should be anticipated and set to their minimum level so as to conserve the area's resources and prevent a saturation of the destination as to not abuse the product and the residents correspondingly. The plan should incorporate the locals to its gain by training and employing them and in the process encourage them to participate to the travel business. Keep in mind that the plan should make travelers not only aware about the destination but also concern on how to help it sustain its character while broadening their travelling experience.
Please, be free to share any positive ideas regarding cultural tourism. I am open for new ideas.

SUGGESTION: If you can afford, please combine your photographic tour with one or more of Cultural tours areas. This will benefit the local people "directly" .

Thank you very much for reading my message.
I love you all.

With kind regards,

Hellen A. S. Gupta – Managing Director.
